Djokovic Set to Compete in Paris Olympics Following Knee Surgery

The Serbian Olympic Committee confirmed on Tuesday that Novak Djokovic will participate in the upcoming Paris Games.

After withdrawing from the French Open ahead of the quarterfinals, Djokovic underwent knee surgery and expressed his intention to return to competition “as soon as possible.”

The Serbian committee's announcement confirmed Djokovic's commitment to play in Paris, marking his fifth appearance at the Olympics.

The 37-year-old athlete stated that surgery on his right knee “went well.”

The tennis events for the Paris Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 27 at Roland Garros, the venue for the French Open.

Djokovic's participation in Wimbledon, where he has won seven out of his 24 Grand Slam titles, remains uncertain. The grass-court tournament starts on July 1.

Djokovic's Olympic record includes a bronze medal from the 2008 Beijing Games, his first Olympic appearance.
