In a commanding display of skill, Carlos Alcaraz dispatched Stefanos Tsitsipas to secure a spot in the French Open semifinals, where he will face the incoming world number one, Jannik Sinner.

The Spanish third seed, aged 21, triumphed over Greek ninth seed Tsitsipas with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 on the clay courts of Roland Garros. This victory marked Alcaraz's second consecutive year defeating Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals of the Paris major.

Following his win, Sinner learned he is set to ascend to the top of the ATP rankings, replacing the defending champion Novak Djokovic, who withdrew from the tournament due to a leg injury.
