Brazil has been selected as the host nation for the 2027 Women's World Cup, as confirmed by a vote conducted by 's 211 members. The decision was made during the FIFA Congress, where Brazil's bid prevailed over a joint proposal from Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany.

The vote followed the withdrawal of a joint bid by the United States and Mexico, which occurred late the previous month, and South Africa's earlier decision to withdraw its candidacy in November.

This marks the first time that the global women's tournament will be held in South America, a significant milestone for the region.

The Brazilian bid team expressed jubilation upon the announcement of the result, citing it as a victory for and for their nation. Renaldo Rodiques, representing Brazil's federation, highlighted the significance of the win, particularly in light of recent natural disasters impacting parts of the country.

With the FIFA Congress granting all member associations the opportunity to participate in the voting process, Brazil secured the hosting rights after receiving 119 votes, while the joint European bid garnered 78 votes.

Brazil's favorable evaluation in a FIFA assessment report conducted the previous week had positioned it as the frontrunner in the bidding process.
