Czech Republic Announces Provisional Squad for Euros, Including West Ham's Soucek and Coufalillustration

West Ham's midfield powerhouse Tomas and full-back Vladimir Coufal have secured their spots in the 's provisional squad for the upcoming European Championships in Germany.

Captaining the squad is the seasoned 29-year-old midfielder Soucek, boasting an impressive record of 68 caps for his national team.

Coufal, who faced a setback in November when he was sent home from camp for a nightclub incident, has successfully reclaimed his position. Despite being excluded from the Czech squad for their two friendlies in March, the 31-year-old has earned his place back.

Joining them are three key players from Bayer Leverkusen's Bundesliga and German Cup-winning team: striker Patrik Schick, joint top scorer at Euro 2020, forward Adam Hlozek, and goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

The Czech Republic's journey in Euro 2020 saw them exiting in the quarter-finals against Denmark, after navigating through a challenging group comprising England, Scotland, and Serbia.

Their campaign in Germany kicks off with a clash against Portugal on 18 June in Leipzig, followed by matches against Group D contenders Georgia and Turkey in Hamburg.
