Wojciech Szczesny has departed from after seven years, the Italian club confirmed on Wednesday. The Polish goalkeeper is reported to be on his way to a club in Saudi Arabia.

Szczesny, 34, succeeded Gianluigi Buffon as Juventus's first-choice goalkeeper upon his arrival in 2017. However, he has recently fallen out of favor at the Turin club, which last claimed the Serie A title four years ago.

According to a club statement, "Juventus and Wojciech Szczesny part ways after seven seasons together, with the two parties agreeing to a mutual termination of their contract."

Szczesny joined Juventus from Arsenal after two seasons on loan at Roma between 2015 and 2017. During his tenure with Juventus, he played 252 matches, recorded 103 clean sheets, and secured three Serie A titles along with three Italian Cup trophies.

Juventus's new coach, Thiago Motta, has signed from as Szczesny's replacement.

The club's statement expressed their appreciation: "Tek (Szczesny) will always be remembered as a dedicated player and a man who wore our jersey with pride and professionalism. Thanks for everything Tek, and good luck for the future!"
