Rose joined the Grizzlies on a two-year contract before the 2023-24 season, which included a guaranteed salary of $3.4 million for the 2024-25 season, as noted by Spotrac.

Sources indicate that Rose is set to provide an update regarding his career this week. SNY's Ian Begley also reports that the Grizzlies have agreed to release the veteran point guard from his contract.

During his time with the Grizzlies, the 35-year-old averaged eight points, 3.3 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game over 24 appearances. His season was hampered by multiple injuries, including a back issue that prematurely ended his campaign with over a month left in the regular season. Additionally, he faced challenges with a lingering left hamstring injury, causing him to miss several weeks in December and January.
