Dallas' 38-point victory ranks as the third-largest margin in Finals history, narrowly missing the record set by the Chicago Bulls' 42-point win over the Utah Jazz in 1998.
The Mavericks seized control early, taking a 13-11 lead midway through the first quarter and never relinquishing it. They held the Celtics to just 35 points in the first half, marking Boston's lowest scoring output in any half this season, whether in regular-season or playoff games.
Game 5 is set for Monday in Boston, where the Celtics will aim to close out the series on their home court.
