Japan's Endo Remains Determined to Secure Liverpool Spot

Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo, who has struggled for game time, expressed confidence in his future at Anfield despite limited appearances this season.

Endo, who has been linked with a potential transfer away from Liverpool, has only featured once under new manager Arne Slot—coming on as a 90th-minute substitute in three Premier League matches.

The Japan captain recently scored in Japan's 7-0 victory over China in a World Cup qualifier held in Saitama. Following the match, Endo indicated he remains "not so worried" about his current situation at Liverpool.

Endo commented, "When the international break is finished there is a run of games so I'll get more chances. You can't just use 11 players when you have a lot of games. I'm sure I'll get my turn."

Since joining Liverpool from Stuttgart last year, Endo has made a positive impression, notably contributing to Liverpool's Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea, which was outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp's final trophy with the club.

Addressing concerns about his fitness, Endo assured, "My physical condition won't be a problem. I've been training well and I'm not worried about it."

Endo remains optimistic about his performance for Japan, despite limited opportunities at Liverpool. Japan's next World Cup qualifier is against Bahrain away on Tuesday.

He added, "At my age I have experience so getting a feel for games isn't a problem. I feel I can perform well in this round of World Cup qualifiers. The important thing is to train and prepare well."
