West Ham United has officially signed winger Crysencio Summerville in a deal valued at a reported £25 million. The Premier League club's acquisition of the 22-year-old brings them closer to a potential move for German striker Niclas Fullkrug.

Summerville, who was the last season, has agreed to a five-year contract with the Hammers. His transfer fee may rise to £34 million with add-ons. The winger finished last season as the third-highest scorer in the Championship, netting 19 goals.

Leeds United confirmed the move, stating, "Leeds United can confirm Crysencio Summerville has today joined West Ham United in a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee, after an exit clause within his contract was triggered. Crysencio now departs Elland Road to join Premier League outfit West Ham and we wish him well for the future."

West Ham has been active in the transfer market, having previously signed Maximilian Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham since finishing ninth in the Premier League last season.

Summerville, who joined Leeds from Feyenoord in 2020, is the second prominent player to leave Elland Road following the club's playoff final loss to Southampton in May. Archie Gray also transferred from Leeds to Tottenham for £40 million earlier this close season.

The Hammers are reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund's Fullkrug, who has been permitted to leave the club's pre-season for discussions with an undisclosed team, believed to be West Ham. Dortmund announced, "Niclas Fullkrug has left training camp in Switzerland on Saturday morning. Borussia Dortmund have allowed the striker to leave for talks with another club."

Fullkrug, 31, scored 12 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season and represented Germany in Euro 2024.
