Bologna Sign Dutch Forward Thijs Dallinga to Replace Joshua Zirkzee

Bologna has officially signed Dutch international forward Thijs Dallinga from Toulouse, the Serie A club announced on Tuesday.

Dallinga joins Bologna for a reported fee of 15 million euros ($16.3 million) and will replace fellow Dutchman Joshua Zirkzee, who transferred to Manchester United earlier this month.

The 23-year-old Dallinga, who has one cap for the Netherlands, enjoyed a productive stint at Toulouse in Ligue 1, where he scored 37 goals in all competitions over two seasons. His notable achievements include netting twice in the French Cup final last year, contributing to Toulouse's first major trophy since the club's inception in 1970.

Bologna is set to start a promising season under new coach Vincenzo Italiano, including their debut in the modern Champions League. The club's campaign begins against Udinese on August 18.
