Cristiano Ronaldo is set to compete in his 11th major international tournament, as he has been included in the Portugal squad for Euro 2024.

At 39, the Al-Nassr forward holds the record for the most international caps, with 206 appearances and 128 goals for Portugal.

Portugal's head coach, Roberto Martinez, selected Ronaldo as one of seven forwards in his 26-man squad for the upcoming tournament in Germany. Martinez stated at a news conference that Ronaldo provides "a quality in front of which we greatly appreciate and which we need."

Ronaldo debuted in international tournaments at Euro 2004, where Portugal reached the final but lost to Greece. He has since won Euro 2016 and the Nations League in 2018-19 with the national team.

The squad also includes nine players from clubs, such as Wolves' Jose Sa, Nelson Semedo, and Pedro Neto. Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, Manchester City's Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias, Fulham's Joao Palhinha, and Liverpool's Diogo Jota are also on the list.

Veteran defender Pepe, 41, and his 21-year-old Porto teammate Francisco Conceicao, who earned his first senior international cap against Slovenia in March, have been selected as well.

Portugal will begin their Group F campaign against the on 18 June, followed by matches against Turkey and Georgia.
